A blink later and he's looking in the mirror and it's hard for him to decide if he's fascinated or horrified. As he pulls experimentally at his eyelashes on one side have a mumbled:]

[In her defense, she was fourteen. She's coming on nineteen, now.]

[Cloud hasn't got a defense ~~unless you count the aforementioned culture of anime/manga/video game creators~~. He also suspects a cell phone like that would cost a mini-game at least. Probably even a side-quest. As long as it doesn't involve chocobo breeding again...]

[And it's a taunt of course, but not only a taunt - at least, not only taunting Cloud. Her face is decidedly unpleasant with its heightened smile now.]

[Something about the way she twists that last word, and the smile when she's talking about memento, suggests the exact opposite of friends. It suggests who made their past into memories.]

[o-kay. That's... not exactly sane sounding...

So the eyebrows go down a little and he'll simply nod, the usual chin dip.]

How long does this thing last?

[She has the teletia-S of each of the senshi she defeated. Why shouldn't she? As Cloud said, they're useful. And she certainly doesn't plan for them to be used to create new opposition to her.]

It'll last as long as you need it. I made sure of that.

I was actually more concerned with it not coming off when I was ready for it to, Ami.

[which is, of course, in no way related to what he suspects her sense of humor is like.]

[yeah. That's what he was concerned with. And not at all surprised by. But it got the job done and he's got to admit it's better than he'd expected when he'd walked in here. He'll just... deal with getting out of the get up once the girls are safe. He'll stand up.]

But - it's Ami. He's seen her fight. And having her close does mean he can get out of this outfit faster once he doesn't need it anymore.

Not to mention her voice sounds a lot more feminine than his does. He's come a long way from his tough, fake ex-SOLDIER facade.

So he'll nod, just once.]
