Test Drive Meme
Been considering apping here but aren't sure if it's for you? Post a comment here with the character in question as if they were in the game. The usual rules of character dreams apply, which is to say that for the most part there aren't any. Current members of the community are of course welcome and encouraged to tag around themselves! Otherwise, use this opportunity as an open meme to have your characters interact in their dreams and see if you'd like to consider apping at Passing. :) |

But for all of his horror and grief and fury, instantaneous upon recognizing him, Abel is not entirely blind. This is Cain, not simply the monster who wears his face in all the rest of Abel's dreams, and his anger fizzles out just as quickly as it came to him.
The realization doesn't stop the dream itself from darkening somewhat, just around the edges, but when he answers, there is only reluctant agreement in his voice. ]
She's... Meaner than she used to be, you know.

I realized that some time ago... [The food is gone as Cain cautiously approaches Abel. He's waiting for something bad to happen. He's hoping if it does Buffy or Minato would swoop in and take him off to a nicer, safer dream.]
She's had to endure a lot all by herself. We talk about it sometimes.

He doesn't move, as Cain comes closer, though it's sorely tempting to turn and simply wish him away, again, like the phantom he is. Even in sleep, Abel doesn't believe him to be real, and he thinks he really could make him disappear, if he only wanted it enough. ]
It's been such a long time since I've seen her... But it's still strange to think she's changed so much.

Between us I miss the days when she was a tiny little thing that clung to Lilith's hip. She was happier then.
[As happy as a toddler who was regularly experimented on could be anyways.]

[ He says it like it's so casual, and for a moment, Abel turns to him with genuine surprise - but it's difficult to look at Cain for long, this person who is a stranger to him, now, more than anyone. ]
...Mm. Maybe. [ But Abel doesn't know anything about happiness, back then. And of all of them, he thinks, he might have been cruelest to Seth, from the start. Indifferent. ] I suppose my memory isn't what it used to be.

Maybe we should be getting you fish then. It might help that old man memory of yours.

I've never liked that greasy fish, you know. I'd prefer something sweet.

[He looks around, again, somewhat anxiously, and when he speaks, next, it seems he's talking more to himself than to Cain.]
I'm still waiting for that train. If I leave this spot, I'm liable to miss it, entirely... And my boss won't be pleased, if she has to foot the bill for a second ticket.
