Fell is still all about more power. Would Willow be willing/able, if we set it up, to teach her some more basic magic? (And if so, what do you think the chances would be of it being learned in dreams but usable in waking life?)

Willow also parallels Ami in the whole brains-of-the-group and choosing to hold herself back from what she COULD do academically to stay with her friends (though admittedly Fell has lost that sense). It'd be neat to find a way for them to bond over the similarity.

tbh, I'm not sure that would really work out. Willow's not the teaching type at this point in canon, and Buffyverse magic is very... studied? :|a i.e., it involves a lot of slow, slow progress and reading books and performing rituals. Only at very high levels of power does it do anything constructive - it took Willow like a year to even be able to float a pencil without a set spell, and she's canonly extremely gifted.

A couple certain things, though, maybe? :o We could handwave that she can learn water-based stuff without having to jump through all the hoops?

Yeah, we should look out for that! :3 I'm still feeling my way around playing Willow from this canon point, and she's pretty... unuseful and arrogant right now. XD So it makes it hard to form CR. But give her about a year ICly and she'll be in a totally different situation, I promise! Definite bonding then.

Always up for anything. Always. Mostly hoping she can relax, learn friendship type things again and find some true peace with herself over what she's done, while not quite losing what has become part of her after this long on the other side.

She also simply enjoys having an affect; so if there are any plots that need a match held to the kindling before they can explode, she'd potentially be good as a catalyst.

Anyway, you know I'm always up for plotting. I would like to make friends, so let's definitely work on that. This month could help some, since ~perfect life~ stuff will be tied to friendship on Ami's part. (Her past-life Moon Kingdom post, and I'm going to do a present-life one where anyone coming will be welcome to be her ~bff~ as part of it.) Why don't we let those get us to a good place, and then work on a 'real'/non-evented friendship from there maybe? Could work?

Oh, man, I don't even. lol. Usagis are so tricky with this girl. If it goes well, she starts feeling like she's horrible for becoming 'soft' and proving her hatred is shallow instead of true. If it goes badly, it goes badly, obviously.

As for Usagi, she'd just go "but Ami-chan!!" and start espousing the virtues of love and friendship. And probably try to be friends with her again.

But... her sword can't cut ghost!mittens. D:

(Er, to explain, Ami knits all the girls mittens right before turning. Thus they become the ~big symbol of the friendship~ but she cuts them to pieces at the end of Usagi's Big Speech.

Don't worry, they get better, giving Usa hope of reaching Ami after all~ Ah, shoujo.)

You have no idea how fascinated I am by our plans for this month's theme. The whole concept of 'trusted friend' is so key to Ami.

What that means for this plotting post is I definitely want to follow it up. Maybe they can work through some things together since you mentioned Aerith has friendship issues - worrying about the danger and trouble she puts them in unintentionally - too.

To be honest, Aerith doesn't have an arc like "Dark Mercury" -- she never really has a focus on why she does what she does, more that it underpins the plot I mean people still argue if she knew Zack was dead/she was going to die/if she loved Cloud/what her personality is actually like LOL -- so I'm not interested in working through her issues just yet, more playing around with them. I brought them up since I thought you should probably be aware in case they come up with Mercury somehow; I mean, there was already the thread in her post where she dug her heels in. So they might affect Mercury working through her own.

Ah no worries; it just popped into my head. We'll just see where things go.
